Aim
MEMBC is an awareness course designed to educate engineers up to coy level leaders on Military Engineering (MILENG) interoperability, operating in a NATO/Multinational environment, and NATO MILENG Doctrine relevant to this level.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course students should be able to:
Identify relevant NATO doctrine to MILENG related topics.
This topics include: NATO Structure and Doctrine overview, NATO Order, Base Camp Planning, Environmental Protection, Military Load Classification, Area/Route Denial, and Airfield Damage Repair, support to Force Protection, C- IED and Route Clearance.
Students must complete Syndicate tasks on Base Camp Planning, Military Load Classification and must also be prepared to deliver a briefing to their fellow students on their national engineer structure and capabilities.

Rank Limitation
Engineering Staff Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (OR6 – OF2) at the Platoon and up to Company level.
Prerequisites
Language proficiency: Students must have the following standards of proficiency in English (STANAG 6001): Listening (Good/3), Speaking (Fair/2), Reading (Good/3), Writing (Fair/2). On a case by case basis listening and reading levels can be lowered to level 2 proficiency.
- Computer Skills: Students must be familiar with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel capabilities.
